RG Series Linear Guide — Roller Type
The RG series replaces balls with rollers, so the load is carried on a line rather than a point. Under a heavy cut the elastic deformation stays small, which is what keeps the part accurate. A DB 45°/45° roller arrangement gives equal capacity in all four directions, and the patented recirculation module keeps the roller chain aligned at speed. Rated life follows ISO 14728-1 at a 100 km basic rating.
Technical highlights
- Roller line contact instead of ball point contact — deflection stays small under load
- DB 45°/45° arrangement: equal high rigidity and load capacity in all four directions
- Patented recirculation module (multi-country patents) keeps rollers cycling smoothly
- Block and rail optimised by finite-element stress analysis
- Smaller envelope than a ball guide at the same load
- Life calculated to ISO 14728-1, basic rating life 100 km

Where it is used
CNC machining centres
X/Y/Z axes under heavy or interrupted cuts where deflection shows in the part.
Gantries and long-travel axes
Rigidity has to hold over a long span, not just at the block.
Wire EDM
Small deflection keeps the wire path accurate.
High-rigidity automation
Heavy presses, handling and forming axes.
Supply note: the roller series is currently supplied as a matched block-and-rail set only. Blocks are not interchangeable or stocked separately. Accuracy up to SP/UP is available on matched sets.
