HG Series Linear Guide — Four-Row Single-Arc Ball Type
The HG series is a four-row single-arc contact ball guide with a 45° contact angle. It carries equal load in all four directions and self-aligns within the elastic range, absorbing mounting-surface error. Sizes 15 to 65 mm cover machining centres, grinders, lathes and heavy-cutting machines.

Low profile blocks (HGL)
Same ball circuit and rail as the HG series, in a lower block. Where the frame cannot be raised and the HGH block is too tall, the HGL is the drop-in alternative on the same HGR rail.

HGL blocks run on the same HGR rails as HGH and HGW of the same size. The HGL range stops at 55 mm.

Where it is used
Machining centres
X, Y and Z axes of milling, drilling and tapping centres, where the block has to hold position while the cutter pushes back.
Grinders
Surface and cylindrical grinding, where running accuracy sets the finish on the part.
Lathes and turning
Turret and tailstock slides that need rigidity in all four directions.
Heavy cutting
Die-sinking and roughing axes, where the guide must stay stiff under interrupted cuts.
Matching rails
HGR rails are supplied in standard lengths and cut to order from 100 mm. Sizes HGR15 to HGR65, hole pitch and end distance fixed by the size. See the full rail dimension table.
